Level:  This shows you how many points you have and what level you are here on the forum.

You'll be able to tell whether or not you're applicable for a level-up.
Scraps: Clicking on this link will take you to a list of articles that you favorite here.
Saved Articles: Clicking on this link will take you to a list of articles you saved.
Written Articles: Clicking on this link will take you to a list of articles you started/wrote.
Friends: On loveft-i.net, you are able to save other members as Friends.

This will take you to your list of Friends.
Message Box: This link will take you to your personal messenger, where you can check messages or send them.
Note: when you recieve a new PM, a box will pop-up telling you that you received a message. So make sure to turn your pop-up blockers off for loveft-i.net

How to post;

On every page, there will be a button that says "Write" at the bottom of the list of articles.
Clicking that will take you to the following screen:

The Subject of the article will be the topic title, and will be displayed in the list of articles.
(Most of the sections here also require you to sort the article in a specific Category. When this
happens, there will be a drop-down box next to the Subject line. Choose one of the tags listed there.)
You can change to different font colors, sizes and faces in your article by highlighting your written text
or by setting your font before typing. The C changes the font color while the C highlights your text.
You can experiment with other things, like the adding quotes (" button), inserting URLs (URL button), or adding images
and emoticons ("Extension Components" button). You can also choose to write in HTML instead of using the editor.
This can be accessed by clicking the "HTML Editor" button.


Helpful hint: When you are using the regular editor, everything you paste

will look exactly like it does from where you copied it.


When you are finished writing, click "Submit."

How to leave a comment;

The tools for commenting work exactly the same way as tools used when writing articles.
When you are finished writing, simply click "Add Comment."

1: This tells you how many comments there are for the article

2: This tells you how many times the article has been viewed.

3: This gives you options about what you can do about the article.

Accusing is the same as reporting the article.

4: The Modify button lets you edit the article.

5: Like the Modify button, this eraser-like tool allows you to edit your comment.

6: This gives you options about what you can do about the person's comment.

Accusing the comment is the same as reporting it.


*Note that #3 says "You would..." while #6 says "I want to..."

Level-Up Process

First, I'll just go more in-depth with the level-up process and I'll answer any frequent questions at the end.


oo1. After you've logged in, you should be able to see the menu somewhere on the layout. Under 'Main' there should be a section named 'Level-Up'. Click that, or go here.

oo2. Read the two bolded threads. They should be located at the top. Read the 'About Level-Up' first, then you may fill out the 'Level-Up Request Form'.

oo3. Make sure that you choose the correct form inside the 'Level-Up Request Form' thread. If you're currently a level 1, choose the Level 2 Request Form. If you're currently a level 2, choose the Level 3 Request Form and so on.


oo4. Now, post a new thread with your form filled out and completed, making sure to name the title, "Level Up Request". And you're done! Now all you have to do is wait for an admin to look over your form and change your level.



Level-Up FAQ


1) How long do I have to wait for my level to be changed?

Your form should be looked at within a day. Depending on how busy the admins are, you shouldn't be waiting for more than a day or two before receiving a reply about your request in your thread. If you've been waiting for over 5 days with no response, feel free to email us or PM an administrator.


2) Why can't my level be changed?

The top reason why a person is rejected from leveling-up is because he/she don't follow all the requirements. Most peoples requests will be accepted but there are those few who either:

  • Don't follow the username rule (use F.T Island names or nicknames in their username).
  • Have broken the rules/been suspending many times.
  • Do not have enough points to level-up.
  • Don't fill out the request form correctly.
3) How many points do I need to level-up?
The number of points needed to level-up depend on the level that you're wanting to be upgraded to.
  • LEVEL 2 - 100 points.
  • LEVEL 3 - 400 points.
  • LEVEL 4 -1000 points.
  • LEVEL 5 - 3500 points.

4) But that's too many points!...?

It may look like alot, but trust me, you'll reach level 5 in no time. All you have to do is post, comment, download files, etc. and you'll have plenty of points before you know it! Who knows, the number of points required may be changed every now and then.


5) How do I earn points?

There are multiple ways that you can earn points. 

  • Post a new topic - 5 points
  • Post a comment - 1 point
  • Uploading files - 2 points
  • Downloading files - 1 points
  • Recommended Topic - 1 points

6) What are the differences between each level?

For right now, there aren't that many major differences between the upper levels. However, people at Level 1 can only view the Freeboard, Fan Island and Main area. Once you're promoted to Level 2, you can see the Data section as well. Level 3 members can see the 'From FT' section whereas Level 2 members can't. We may provide more benefits for members in higher levels later, but for now, that's the main difference between each.

ICON MARK

Ever wondered whats that cute icon behind a lot of people's name? Here you can find out :)

At point A you the icon mark we are talking about. To have such cute icons you will need an icon you can find on the internet like this: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/9411/kamiocake2.gif (For more go to this thread)
If you have one please click on Member info you can see that at point B.

When you click on Member info it will take you to your profile. Scroll down you will see 4 buttons, click on Modify Member Info

Profile Image is not the one you need. Image Mark is the one you need :D Click on Browse to find an icon you like. Don't forget it must not be larger than 30x30, or else it will re-size by itself. Click on submit at point E.
That's all you need to know :D

30x30pixels? What?

If you don't know how big the width and height is of the picture and it's on the internet.
Click Right click and click on Properties. If you use Firefox you will see this image:

Binging on loveft-i


loveft-i officially has its own version of Twitter or me2day. We bring you Bing (as in Bingbingbing! from Cross & Change).


In order to Bing, you need a Planet.

In all cases (except maybe yourself at times), you can view a person's Planet

by simply clicking on their name and then on the word Planet.

How do you set up your own Planet?

That's easy. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Bing.

That will lead you to a page with the latest Bings from other loveft-i members.


If you have not created your own planet yet, you will have a button in the top right corner. Click that!

Let's look at the form.

Title: This will be what your Planet will be called. It will be seen on your Planet's page whenever people visit it.

Photo: This is your display picture for Bings. The largest size is 96x96.

Introduction: This will also be seen on your Planet's page when people visit it. Just enter a short message.

There is a message character limit, so don't beat around the bush!

Planet URL: This will be the URL that your Planet will have forever. Like they warn you, it definitely cannot be changed.

Personal Tag: You have the option of writing tags for yourself. This (as well as everything else except for the Planet URL)

can be changed in the future if you want it to be.



The Bing interface

When your Planet is created, it will take you directly to it.

The icons at the top-right allow you:

Bing with your mobile phone (phone icon),

change the color of the background (middle square icon),

and disable or enable your own RSS feed (last feed icon).


The tool little icon by the TAG line allows you to edit your tags.

Remember this icon, since it is the universal icon for editing on Bing.

The X icon next to the time the automatic Bing was posted deletes the Bing.

The number in the orange circle tells you if someone gave your Bing a Thumbs Up.

The number in the parentheses ( ) tell you how many comments you have for that particular Bing.

You can click on the word and it will show you the comments.


If you have the check box next to Preview checked, it will show you a preview of what your Bing will look like.
